Competitive athletes must follow tailor-made diet plans to improve their performance. Some struggle to gain weight. By working with a sports nutritionist, you can reach a weight that will optimize performance. This is a science! Weight gain goals should be between 1/2 pound to 1 pound per week (no more!), with a nutrient-rich diet that includes fats, carbs, and proteins. Every body is different, and your body type depends on the genetic hand you’re dealt. That said, with the right nutrition plan, you can reach the weight you need to improve your sport.
